Collingwood held a recovery session on at Life Saving Victoria headquarters on Monday morning, two days after dropping its first match of the season.
The session lasted for just over an hour with a combination of ball work and water exercises held on Sandridge Beach.
The recovery session was held in conjunction with the launch of this weekend's Westpac Community Cup, paying tribute to Life Saving Victoria and the 30,000 active lifesavers that patrol Victoria’s beaches throughout the summer.
This is the second year that Collingwood and Adelaide have competed for the Westpac Community Cup, with last year's match paying tribute to the Country Fire Authority.
Westpac have supported surf life saving in Australia for the past 36 years, making it the longest corporate community partnership in Australia.
