COLLINGWOOD'S Harry O'Brien is free to play next week after the match review panel withdrew his report from Sunday's Anzac Day match.

O'Brien was reported for striking Essendon's Henry Slattery during the last term of the match, but the MRP said the action was not seen as a striking action.

The panel said that Slattery kicked the ball as O'Brien was moving towards him in an attempt to pressure him, but at the last moment, O'Brien slipped and put his arms up in a protective position, which made high contact with Slattery.
