Members of the Magpie Club brought their children to the Ryder Room East in the Great Southern Stand at the MCG where they were entertained before their Magpies took to the field.

Formed in 1979, the Magpie Club is sponsoring senior stars Luke Ball and Travis Cloke in season 2012 and has been affiliated with names the calibre of Bill Sarong, Kevin Rose, Graeme Jenkins, Peter McKenna, Murray Weideman, Len Thompson, Doug Barwick, David Cloke, Eddie Hillgrove and Des Tuddenham in the past.
