* Will Hoskin-Elliott’s goalkicking streak finally came to an end when he finished the win over the Suns without a goal. Hoskin-Elliott had previously booted a goal in 16 straight matches, a run that began when he snagged one major against Port Adelaide in round 21 last year.

* The win over Gold Coast was Collingwood's sixth victory on the trot. The last time the Magpies put together a streak like that was back in 2012, when Nathan Buckley was in his first season as senior coach (that year the Pies' winning streak, which began in round four and was ended in round 15, reached 10 in a row!).

* Pies ruckman Brodie Grundy finished the match with 49 hit-outs, which was the second-best tally of his career. He tallied 53 hit-outs in last year's Queen's Birthday game against Melbourne.

* Josh Daicos racked up a career-high 18 disposals against the Suns. Our Collingwood Media stats guru, Luke Mason, has alerted us to the fact that it was the most disposals by a Daicos in a game for Collingwood since Peter finished with 25 in a five-point win over Adelaide at Football Park in round nine, 1992!

* Chris Mayne is in career-best form when measured by disposals. Having racked up a career-high tally of 25 against Geelong earlier this season, he finished Saturday night's game with 23, the equal-second-best tally of his 184-game career.
