The VFL have today announced a 43-player Smithy’s VFL State Team squad ahead of the 2025 AAMI State Game in April.

Set to take place against SANFL’s West End State Team at Tanunda Recreation Park in the Barossa on Saturday, April 12 following the North Melbourne and Gold Coast Suns AFL match, it will be the second time the Smithy’s VFL State Team will hit the representative stage.

Named in the squad is new Collingwood VFL recruit Curtis Taylor, who joined the Club in the off-season after playing 76 games for North Melbourne’s AFL side.

The 24-year-old is yet to make his Collingwood VFL debut after missing the team's Round 1 hit out with Sydney.

The final 23-player team will be announced in the lead up to the date of the match.

Collingwood's next VFL game is against Coburg on Sunday, April 6 at Barry Plant Park.
