Collingwood has informed Jack Bytel, Josh Eyre, and Nathan Kreuger they will not be offered contracts with the Club for 2025.
Bytel and Eyre were added to the Pies’ senior list through the AFL’s Supplementary Selection Period (SSP) in February this year.
After five years on St. Kilda's list, Bytel made his Collingwood debut in Round Nine this year in a 66-point defeat against the West Coast Eagles. He went on to make seven appearances at AFL level.
Eyre, who was selected from Collingwood’s VFL side, is yet to make his AFL debut and continued to spend time this year with the second-tier program.
Kreuger arrived at Collingwood through the 2021 AFL Trade Period from Geelong.
Through an unlucky bout of injuries, the 25-year-old managed 13 games at AFL level since his Collingwood debut in Round Two 2022.
“Decision-making at this time of the year is always difficult and we thank each of the players for their contribution to our Club,” Collingwood Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch said.
“Whilst only with us for a short period, Jack and Josh added value to both our VFL and AFL programs, and we thank them for their dedication.
“Nathan’s resilience to return from numerous injuries, and remain committed to his football and this program, needs to be commended.
“On behalf of everyone at the Club, we wish each player all the very best and we hope they continue to work towards reaching their football potential.”
