Mick's welcome message
Hi everyone, welcome to our website - I say ‘our’ because it is the work of my family as well as myself.
Obviously I’m involved in a lot of football talk as Collingwood coach, The Australian columnist and SEN game analyst, however we are hoping this website will provide the opportunity to not only delve deeper into football matters but also to address other issues of interest and importance.
You’ll notice that each page of this website reveals a little more about who I am and what is significant to me.
Visit Mick's new website.
I will be writing regular blogs on a variety of subjects as well as providing coaching tips for junior and amateur coaches of Aussie Rules and all sports, plus advice for anyone in charge of leading and motivating a team in sport or business.
As I reach the end of my 27th year of coaching AFL, I feel it important to have a voice outside of the usual realms. I want to express all of my opinions and views, share some of my knowledge and experience and learn what’s important to you, the faithful football supporter.
My focus at all times is 100% on Collingwood and at the moment that means preparing for a preliminary final. Hopefully though, this website will allow you to join me on this exciting, stressful, challenging, nerve-wracking journey!
It has been a long, tough season - but finals are what we play for. My family has ridden the rollercoaster of a regular football season for many years and they know that in September it seems to take twice as long to get up the hills and is twice the speed coming down them.
You should know we are working very hard to achieve the ultimate goal.
This project is a totally new endeavor for me and I hope you all enjoy it and share it with your family and friends.
Thanks for your support.?
Mick
