Charlie Dean and Jack Madgen both had a successful return through the VFL last weekend.

Dean - who has been battling a foot issue for most of the year - played his first game for the club and clocked up 95 minutes of game time.

Madgen's shoulder came under pressure and he pulled up well.

Aiden Begg picked up a thumb injury in the VFL match but played out the game.

Scans showed a tiny crack in his thumb which will not require surgery and looks like a 2-3 week injury.

Brodie Grundy (knee) has progressed from straight line running to agility/change direction and is 'ticking a lot of boxes' in the gym.

At this stage he's still expected to return in round 18.

Reef McInnes (shoulder) is wearing a sling post-shoulder surgery and is in the early stages of his rehab.

Tom Wilson (back) is seeing some progress with his swimming, bike work and body weight exercises, while Nathan Kreuger has full movement in his shoulder and is progressing with pulling work.

He's running and finding real targets around his speed and cardio work.
