Athletic forward Jesse White is in line to play his 100th senior game when Collingwood meets Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
A powerfully built key position player who can take a turn in the ruck when need be, White averaged more than a goal per game in his 71 outings for the Swans between 2008 and 2013, returning a career-high 22 goals in 2010.
Switching to Collingwood ahead of the 2014 campaign, he began his first season as a Magpie in fine style, kicking five goals in the NAB Challenge opener against Geelong.
It set the tone for the early rounds, when he established himself as a regular in the senior side with nine goals in the first six games.
Two stints in the VFL later in the season were the result of a dry spell in front of goal, but White, who finished 2014 with 20 goals from 18 games, remains as a pivotal player in Collingwood's desire to help take the attention away from Travis Cloke as a tall target in attack.
He has again proven his worth up forward in the first half of the 2015 season, kicking 15 goals in 10 games and taking 25 marks inside 50 (two more than what he did across 18 games last year).
White currently sits in third on the Magpies’ goal kicking leaderboard for the season so far, with 15 goals from 27 scoring shots.
His 25 marks inside 50 ranks him equal second with Jamie Elliott behind Cloke (26) as the team’s most reliable targets in the first 10 rounds.
Importantly, he has kicked a goal in eight of his 10 outings and is averaging 12.30 disposals per game (0.37 away from his career high of 2012).
White has also won 39 hitouts, pinch hitting when Brodie Grundy and Jarrod Witts have been off the field.
