Collingwood has honoured eight individuals with Life Membership tonight at the Annual General Meeting hosted at the AIA Vitality Centre.

Six 2023 AFL Premiership players were recognised alongside outgoing Board Member Christine Holgate and Club volunteer Neil Price.

Collingwood Captain Darcy Moore, alongside Premiership teammates Jack Crisp, Mason Cox, Jordan De Goey, Brayden Maynard and Nathan Murphy were elevated to the exclusive group of Life Members.

Darcy Moore

Moore, who is set to embark on his 11th AFL season and third as Captain, was an integral part of the Club's ultimate success in 2023 and has shown exceptional leadership throughout his time in the black and white.

Joining Collingwood with Pick 9 in the 2014 National Draft as a Father-Son selection, Moore has played 173 games and is a key pillar of the Magpies' backline.

Taking over as Captain from Scott Pendlebury ahead of the 2023 season, Moore excelled in the role, going on to claim his second All-Australian blazer alongside his Premiership medal.

Jack Crisp

Crisp, who is on the eve of playing his 250th game, joined Collingwood ahead of the 2015 season after three years and 18 games at Brisbane.

Since arriving at Olympic Park, Crisp has been a mainstay of the Magpies' lineup. His consistency and reliability are evident in the 237 consecutive AFL games he has played, the most of any current AFL player and only behind Jim Stynes' record of 244.

Crisp claimed back-to-back Copeland Medals in 2021 and 2022 and has finished top three in the count on five occasions.

Mason Cox

With a unique pathway to elite-level football, Cox became the first American to win an AFL Premiership in 2023.

Joining Collingwood from Dallas, Texas, Cox made his debut on Anzac Day in 2016, where he scored his first goal from his first kick in the opening minutes of the game.

Since then, the 213cm ruck has played 129 games and scored 123 goals, becoming an important part of Collingwood's midfield.

Jordan De Goey

De Goey arrived at Collingwood alongside Moore in the 2014 National Draft after being selected at Pick Five.

A powerful midfielder, De Goey has been influential in Collingwood's performances over his 171 games, highlighted by a standout performance in the 2023 AFL Grand Final.

Claiming the 2018 Gordon Coventry Trophy as the Club's leading goalkicker and scoring a total of 201 majors throughout his career, De Goey's versatility makes him a dangerous opponent for any opposition.

Brayden Maynard

Known for his tough and relentless determination, Maynard has epitomised a team-first mentality throughout his 209 games in the black and white.

Selected in the 2014 National Draft at Pick 30, Maynard has been a consistent performer across the Magpie's backline throughout his 10 seasons. In 2022, he was awarded his maiden All-Australian blazer.

The current Vice-Captain, Maynard was elevated in the leadership group ahead of the 2023 season, reflecting his dedication and passion for his teammates and the Club.

Nathan Murphy

A courageous defender, Murphy announced his retirement from AFL football in 2024 following 57 games for Collingwood.

Known for his one-on-one defence and outstanding ability to read the game, Murphy was an integral part of Collingwood's premiership-winning backline in 2023.

A much-loved and highly regarded member of the playing list, Murphy was a natural leader who demonstrated resilience and perseverance throughout his career.

Christine Holgate

Holgate joined the Board in 2016 and has made extensive contributions to the Club and the Collingwood Community Foundation.

Throughout her nine years as a Director, Holgate's commitment and care for Collingwood have been outstanding.

Holgate will continue to serve as the Chair of the Collingwood Community Foundation, enhancing the Club's ability to lead social and cultural change through football.

Neil Price

Price has worked at Collingwood since the late 1980's and is a beloved Member of the Club.

Starting in the old Club shop at Victoria Park, Price – affectionately referred to as “Neilo” – has since looked after the players' boots for around 36 years, entirely in a voluntary capacity.

A Collingwood stalwart who has dedicated his life to the black and white, Price was presented with the Phonse Keyne Award for Service to the Club in 2016.

Outgoing Club President Jeff Browne congratulated the group on receiving Life Membership.

"On behalf of everyone at Collingwood, I congratulate these eight individuals on receiving Life Membership and for their immense contribution to the black and white," Browne said.

"To our six AFL Premiership players, thank you for delivering the Club our 16th AFL Premiership.

“Each of you have brought incredible happiness and pride to the entire Club and supporter base. You all will always be Collingwood people and forever a part of the fabric of our Club.

"I thank Christine for her magnificent contribution as a long-term Director at Collingwood.

"Since joining the Board in 2016, Christine has demonstrated dedication and deep care for the Club and the Collingwood Community Foundation's initiatives. She has strengthened our Club, and we are deeply grateful for Christine's contribution to help steer the Club achieve its best.

" Having started as a volunteer back when we were based at Victoria Park, Neil has gone on to serve the Club for over three decades.

“Neil is much more than just the boot studder, he is the ultimate Collingwood person. He is dearly loved and highly respected across the whole Club and we thank him for his dedication to his beloved Magpies."
