The AFL Dream Team Eliminator starts this week, that’s right folks, not only are you playing up against your mates but the first 131,072 complete teams entered in the Toyota AFL Dream Team will play in the 'League of Champions' Eliminator competition matched up based on weekly rankings and playing head-to-head for survival. Winners proceed to the next round, until there is one standing at season's end!

Friday night’s matchup can set you up for a solid start to the dream team weekend.   This week’s ‘DT Magpie’ will focus on potential captaincy selections.

O Captain! My Captain!
(price/game average)

Dane Swan ($450,600/115.40):  Why not give this proven DT superstar the nod for captaincy this week?  Friday night under the roof should be an enticing prospect for the midfielder.  Swan averaged 103 under the roof last year and with a few injuries to the Roo camp, this champion could have a field-day out there.

Scott Pendlebury ($390,300/101.80):  The 21-year-old is going to go off on Friday night.  The former basketball AIS scholarship holder will go coast-to-coast this week, collecting possessions in the back half while notching a few majors to his name.  The kid is pure class and should sparkle under the lights.

Leon Davis ($382,600/103):  His second and fourth quarter efforts were simply extraordinary on ANZAC Day.  He recorded a personal best 32 touches and racked up a mammoth 150 DT points!  150!  That’s more than those bald headed freaks scored down the highway last week.  What makes him so dangerous is his ability to kick a bag while rack up 20 plus touches.

Tarkyn Lockyer ($398,700/100.60):  Yes ‘DT Magpie’ admits this would be a risky selection but if it pays off you will be considered a champion.  He is sitting third in the competition for total marks (50), which is a point-scoring statistics any coach would love to see.  His round five performance against the Roos last year was simply outstanding with 21 kicks and seven marks for a whopping 114.

A note of interest:  If Jaxson Barham is selected to play this week, jump on!  He has a breakeven score of -109...CASH COW!
