> Watch Josh Fraser and Nick Maxwell front the media after the mid-week training session

The Collingwood Football Club hosted two NFL players Terence Newman (Pro Bowl selection in 2007) and Courtney Brown (number one overall pick in the 2000 NFL draft) from the Dallas Cowboys on Tuesday 7 July.

After a tour of the Lexus Centre and its world-class facilities, the two Cowboys were instructed by Nick Maxwell, Josh Fraser, Dane Swan and Anthony Rocca on basic AFL skills.

Newman and Brown were impressed with the facilities the Magpies have at their disposal, specifically the support of a sports science department.

Maxwell and Fraser gave them a tour of the sprung floor inside the gym and showed them the proper way to kick a footy.

After being presented with Collingwood jumpers with their names and numbers on the back, the tourists fronted the Australian media and handled it with aplomb.

"To see guys that are very developed at 18 years old was shocking to me," Newman said.

"The thing that would be tough for me and him (Brown) is to kick the ball with such accuracy.

“I think some of the AFL players could actually play NFL, not just as punters, but as wide receivers, safety and cornerback.

"That says a lot about the talent here."
