It warmed the hearts of the 61,717 crowd to see Chris Tarrant walk down to the goal square to take up his old position in attack at the start of Saturday night's clash with Geelong.

Tarrant, 31, has kicked 303 goals in 187 games for Collingwood between 1998 and 2012, with a four year hiatus at Fremantle interspersed.

He discussed his return to the forward line with CTV after kicking two goals in the Magpies' 31-point win and explained the way he is looking to attack the second half of the season after missing several games through injury.
