Complete a lap of The Tan side by side with your Black and White heroes by taking part in Collingwood’s inaugural Family Fun Run and Walk on Saturday 25 May.

Supported by Blackmores, the event is set to feature a host of Collingwood stars, including 2010 Brownlow Medallist Dane Swan. Participants will have a chance to walk, jog or run the The Tan in support of the club’s philanthropic arm, the CFC Foundation.

Including an event t-shirt and race bib, registration for the Family Fun and Walk is $40, with proceeds assisting the CFC Foundation in rolling out community and social programs designed to inspire and assist Melbourne’s youth in achieving their best.

Tasked with managing the club’s community centre at Victoria Park in addition to facilitating various partnerships, programs and activities, the CFC Foundation aspires to make Collingwood the leading philanthropic sporting organisation in the country.

Seeking to embrace the wider community, in recent times, the CFC Foundation has partnered with the likes of Headspace, Evolve, AFL Sports Ready and the Collingwood Toy Library, providing office space within the Bob Rose Social Club building at Victoria Park.

The coming months will see additional community tenants occupy space at Victoria Park, with a level two redevelopment on the verge of completion.

While supporters can register until 9am on the day of the event, the club encourages supporters to sign up early, with participation numbers limited to just 1000.

With children five and under free to register, the Collingwood Family Fun and Walk encourages Collingwood fans of all ages to get active and support the club’s outreach efforts.
