The 19-year-old was one of the few shining lights in the Magpies’ 70-point loss to Fremantle to kick off the season on Friday night.
Playing predominantly at half back, Langdon won 24 disposals, using the ball at 70.8 per cent efficiency, took six marks (one contested), notched 11 rebound 50s and laid five tackles.
It was an outstanding performance from a player plucked from the Sandringham Under 18s with selection No. 65 in last November’s National Draft.

Langdon has been on the match committee’s radar since he put in an eye-catching performance in the team’s intra-club match on Family Day on 1 February.
He played in each of the three pre-season matches that followed and did not look out of place on the back flank.
When the heat was on against the Dockers, Langdon stood up, with a particularly smooth passage of play in the dying seconds, when he kept Hayden Ballantyne at bay while handling the ball cleanly and clearing to a target, earning a round of applause from the Magpie Army.
Langdon’s 24 disposals makes it statistically the second most prolific debut by a Collingwood player since the turn of the century.
Only Jaxson Barham (28 disposals) won more of the ball when he first represented the Black and White against Brisbane at the Gabba in round four, 2009.
Better yet, Langdon's 11 rebound 50s was the equal third-highest tally by a Collingwood player since Champion Data began keeping records of the statistic in 1999.
Only James Clement, Heath Shaw and Jason Cloke have recorded as many or more in a single match.
Collingwoodfc.com.au has published a table featuring the club’s highest disposal winners on debut since 2000.
