Draftee Will Kelly will play his first VFL game when the Pies take on Essendon at Windy Hill on Saturday.
The 18-year-old has recovered from the ankle injury that saw him placed on a restricted program during the pre-season.
"I'm stoked," Kelly told Track Talk. "It's taken a bit longer than I first thought, but I'm just happy to finally be able to run out there."
Kelly will take some simple goals into the match.
"Just to get through it is my main aim," he said with a chuckle.
"And then if I can just get a bit of experience out there, get used to the bigger bodies and hopefully build from that foundation."
