Round 4

Collingwood Coach Craig McRae has made two changes to his team for Thursday night’s 30th Peter Mac Cup clash against Carlton.

Key defender Billy Frampton will play his first game of 2025, named to start the match at full-back. The 28-year-old, who previously played for Port Adelaide and the Adelaide Crows, has played 58 matches including the 2023 Grand Final win over Brisbane.

Key forward Brody Mihocek is another inclusion in the team after missing the side’s Round Two clash against the Western Bulldogs due to general soreness. The 32-year-old has booted five goals in his two games in 2025 so far.

McRae discussed Frampton’s chances of selection in his press conference on Tuesday.

“Billy Frampton’s in great form and great spirits,” McRae said.

“He’s definitely had a great pre-season and he’s been walking around with his hand up all week.”

The two omissions to the team that defeated the Bulldogs are Mason Cox and Reef McInnes.

Cox has been omitted while McInnes will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his right ACL in the first quarter of the Western Bulldogs clash.

Cox, who collected eight disposals and took three marks against the Bulldogs, has been named an emergency alongside Ed Allan and Will Hoskin-Elliott.

After celebrating a competition record of 308 games as teammates with Steele Sidebottom in Round Two, Collingwood midfielder Scott Pendlebury will draw level with former Hawthorn and Port Adelaide player Shaun Burgoyne for games played at 407 games.

Burgoyne currently sits third for most games played in VFL / AFL history.

The tactical substitution will be selected from the bench and will be named 60 minutes before the first bounce.

Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Channel Seven, Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:30pm (AEDT).
