Another tough challenge awaits Collingwood who will battle it out against Melbourne on Friday night at Marvel Stadium.
The game is the first of the Bushfire Relief double-header with the AFL All-Stars match to follow.
How have the Pies performed to date?
The Magpies suffered their first loss of the season in round three when they went down to Fremantle by three points.
The Pies made all the right moves on paper, with 237 disposals to the Dockers’ 144. Despite having 24 inside 50s compared to the Dockers’ 34, the Pies struggled to make the most of their opportunities in the final term.
Jaimee Lambert put in a career-high performance, collecting 32 disposals and a goal. She collected the maximum coaches votes for the third week in a row.
Five other Magpies also polled votes in round three: Brit Bonnici (6), Brianna Davey (4) Ash Brazill (4) Sharni Layton (2) and Chloe Molloy (1).
How have the Demons been tracking?
The Dees head into round four with the same 2-1 win-loss record as the Pies, having most recently gone down to St Kilda by five points.
Karen Paxman was outstanding for the Demons in round three, totalling 26 disposals and six clearances.
What does this week’s game mean?
The Pies currently sit in second spot on Conference B’s ladder just behind the Dockers in top spot, while the Demons sit in fourth.
A win would move Collingwood four points clear of Melbourne.
The Pies’ team for Friday’s game will be released on Thursday evening.
