Collingwood is pleased to announce AVID Property Group (AVID) has signed for the 2020 season as a co-major partner for the club’s AFLW side.
AVID is one of Australia’s most respected property developers and is responsible for seven residential communities across Victoria, including the $319 million,1,658-lot masterplanned community Bloomdale in Diggers Rest and the new $129 million, 640-lot residential community Savana in Wyndham Vale.
AVID Property Group General Manager Victoria Peter Vlitas said AVID was thrilled to put its support behind Collingwood’s AFLW program.
“AVID is very pleased to be the co-major partner of the team for 2020, and to extend our commitment to supporting not only local business, but local sporting clubs,” Mr Vlitas said.
“Here at AVID we are committed to supporting local sporting clubs that bring people together, with community spirit often the cornerstone to a team’s success.
“The team is a fantastic role model for aspiring young athletes and we look forward to welcoming them into our communities across Victoria throughout the season.”
The partnership between Collingwood and AVID will see out community activations for locals and residents in and around AVID’s residential communities.
The property group will also be part of Collingwood’s key branding and match-day fan engagement opportunities.
“Having an innovative business like AVID Property Group join with our AFLW team is a great vote of confidence in where our club and our women’s sport program is heading,” said Collingwood chief executive Mark Anderson.
“We have no doubt that this will be a long and fruitful partnership.”
AVID’s teal logo will feature on the front of the AFLW home guernsey and the back of the away guernsey.
The new-look jumper will make its first appearance on Sunday when Collingwood play West Coast Eagles in the first round of the 2020 AFLW season at Victoria Park.
