The Waislitz Winter Party was attended by over 950 guests including special attendees Vanessa Amorosi, supermodel Kristy Hinze and a majority of the players and club officials.

The annual Waislitz event is a major highlight of Melbourne’s social calendar as well as Collingwood’s biggest and most important fundraising event of the year.

Radio jockey and passionate Collingwood supporter Jo Stanley opened the night and introduced Alex and Heloise.

Alex commanded the stage as he declared his love and dedication to the club he passionately serves and indicated he would donate a further five million dollars over the next ten years to the club.

Club president Eddie McGuire soon followed thanking the couple for their continued generous support.

A live auction was conducted by McGuire and Brian Taylor with guests given the opportunity to bid on once-in-a-life-time experiences including a seat in the coaches’ box during a finals match and an on-ground match day experience during ANZAC Day next year.

Also on offer was a Lexus IS 250 Coupe convertible, a dining experience at Raheen and two Emirates flights to Europe.

Recording artist Amorosi closed out the night with several hits including ‘Shine’ and ‘Absolutely Everybody’.
