Collingwood assistant coach Ben Hart has been honoured by his former club, Adelaide, who has included the dual premiership defender in its inaugural Hall of Fame.
A stalwart of the Crows across two decades, Hart played over 300 games for the Crows and was a key figure in their back-to-back premierships in 1997 and 1998.
He won two club best-and-fairest awards and was a four-time All Australian with his first selection coming in his debut season (1992), and his last a decade later (2002).
After he left the Crows, he spent a season with Norwood in the SANFL where he was a member of their Grand Final team.
Hart was on Adelaide’s coaching staff for four years and is now responsible for Collingwood's defence under senior coach Nathan Buckley, having arrived at the club at the end of 2011.
Known for his graceful style and ability to read the play, Hart won the Mark of the Year in 1996 and played in a total of 18 finals.
He remains the youngest player to ever pull on an Adelaide jumper, having debuted at 17 years and 256 days.
Collingwood congratulates Hart on his achievement, placing him alongside Bill Sanders, Bob Hammond, Tony Modra, Andrew McLeod, Malcolm Blight, Simon Goodwin and Mark Ricciuto as the club's inaugural inductees.
