Collingwood’s 2015 season will officially come to an end on Friday when the 88th Copeland Trophy is awarded to the Magpies’ best and fairest player.
The Palladium at Crown will play host to the lavish annual event, with past and present players, coaches, board members and a select number of Magpie supporters in the room to celebrate the season that was.
Collingwood’s Copeland Cast will also return in 2015, with viewers provided exclusive and free access to the club’s night of nights via collingwoodfc.com.au.
From 7:30pm (AEST), Collingwood Media will take audiences inside the Palladium as Brian Taylor hosts the event and introduces key speakers.
A series of award winners will be announced, before culminating in the announcement of Collingwood’s best player from the 2015 season.
The winner will join Travis Cloke (2007), Dane Swan (2008-10) and Scott Pendlebury (2011, 2013-14) as current players to have won the award.
Prior to hearing from the winner, Collingwood Media will take Copeland Cast viewers around the room during the ceremony’s intervals as hosts speak exclusively to past and present players.
In addition to the video feed, an interactive live stream of the event will also be running on collingwoodfc.com.au to allow guests at home to ask questions and comment on proceedings as they occur.
An email will be sent to all members and supporters on Friday morning with further details and the link to the Copeland Cast live page.
