* Collingwood's win on Friday night snapped a five-game losing streak against the Dogs. Yet the rivalry between the Pies and Dogs has been remarkably one-sided in the other direction since Footscray entered the VFL in 1925. Collingwood's latest win was the club's 107th victory over the Dogs. In contrast, Footscray/Western Bulldogs have beaten the Magpies just 47 times. The clubs have played one draw.

* Collingwood's winning margin of 35 points was the greatest difference between the two teams since the Pies beat the Dogs by 48 points in round six, 2011.

* Adam Treloar's haul of 40 disposals was his second-best tally in his 132-game AFL career. His best effort is 42 disposals, which he posted against Richmond in round six of this season.

* As a team, the Pies racked up another huge disposal tally in the win over the Dogs. They finished the match with a season-high 469 disposals, leaving them as the only team to be averaging more than 400 disposals per game this season. The top five when it comes to average disposals are: Collingwood (417.1), St Kilda (393.4), Melbourne (391.1), Western Bulldogs (390) and Adelaide (383).
