Collingwood advises Christine Holgate will complete her three-year term as a Director and will not seek re-election at the upcoming Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday, December 16.

Club President Jeff Browne thanked Christine for her nine years’ service on the Collingwood Board.

“On behalf of everyone at the Collingwood Football Club, I thank Christine Holgate for her magnificent contribution as a long-term Director at Collingwood,” Browne said.

“A Board Member since 2016, Christine’s commitment and deep care for Collingwood and to the Collingwood Community Foundation’s initiatives has been outstanding. We are extremely grateful for the time, energy, compassion and expertise Christine has brought to the Board, helping to steer our Club to achieve its best.

“While she has chosen not to seek re-election as a Club Director at the upcoming Annual General Meeting, we are pleased Christine will continue to serve as the Chair of the Collingwood Community Foundation.

“We wish Christine, her husband Mike and family all the best and thank them again for their support of the Collingwood Football Club.”

Christine Holgate said it had been a privilege to serve as a Director at Collingwood.

“I have been a supporter of the Collingwood Football Club since moving to Australia and it has been an absolute privilege and honour to serve on the Club Board,” Holgate said.

“I hope my passion for Collingwood has served it well. I am pleased that our Club is in a strong position and I look forward to continuing to support and contribute in my role as Chair of the Collingwood Community Foundation.”

Barry Carp and Renée Roberts to stand for re-election.

Directors Barry Carp and Renée Roberts will complete their respective three-year terms and it is the Board’s strong recommendation that Barry and Renée are re-elected as Directors at the AGM in December.

Barry and Renée are lifelong Collingwood members and they have both made significant and positive contributions as Directors at Collingwood over the past three years.

Barry and Renée have provided great balance at the board table and led to improved governance and strong financial health for our Club.

The Board believes it is in the interests of all at Collingwood to continue to utilise the skills of Barry and Renée who remain passionate and dedicated to giving back to the Club.

Nominations Committee recommends Dan Rosen and Gaye Morris to fill Director vacancies.

With Jeff Browne and Christine Holgate completing their respective three-year terms and not seeking re-election, two additional Director vacancies have opened.

In line with the updated Constitution voted on last year, a Nominations Committee was set up to interview potential candidates throughout the year. It is the Committee’s unanimous recommendation that Gaye Morris and Dan Rosen fill the vacancies due to the professional expertise each would bring to the board table. The Committee’s recommendation has been accepted by the Board.

Gaye Morris has supported Collingwood her entire life. A senior human resources professional, Morris is currently the Strategic Client Partner at Mercer where she also served as the Chief People Officer for five years. Morris has previously held senior roles both locally and globally with KPMG, the ANZ Banking Group and the Department of Justice.

Dan Rosen is also a lifelong and passionate Collingwood supporter. A successful businessperson, Rosen is the President of Warner Music Australasia having previously served as CEO of Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and the Phonographic Performance Company of Australia (PPCA).

Notwithstanding the fact the Board and Nominations Committee have recommended candidates, Members who fulfil the eligibility requirements as a Director are able to nominate for election to the Board and should seek further information from the Club’s Company Secretary (companysecretary@collingwoodfc.com.au).

The nominations period will open at 9am AEDT on Monday October 21, 2024 and close at 5pm AEDT on Wednesday November 6, 2024.

The Club advises the following key dates for Members:
