WATCH LIVE: SYDNEY V COLLINGWOOD
Collingwood will kick off the first of two clashes between the Pies and Swans on Friday in Sydney when they take to Tramway Oval for their Round 20 VFL clash.
Some big names are returning for the Pies who will field a side with 15 AFL-listed players.
Oleg Markov, Harvey Harrison, and Joe Richards all come into the side, as does Nathan Krueger who returns from concussion suffered in the AFL side’s clash with Hawthorn almost three weeks ago.
None of Harrison, Richards, and Markov have played at VFL level since Round Six this year, while it will be Krueger’s fourth VFL game for the season.
Young VFL-listed ruckman Boston Dowling also comes into the side for his debut, having overcome injuries at the start of the year.
The Oakleigh Chargers star replaces Iliro Smit who misses the clash through injury.
Billy Frampton (AFL elevation), Angus Seivers, and Harrison Kennedy are the other outs from the side’s last game which was against Richmond a fortnight.
Fresh off the bye, the Pies are coming off the back of their third win of the year, with the 11-point victory over 100 days in the making.
Ed Allan was the star of that win with 32 disposals and two incredible goals, as the Pies put together a four quarter performance.
Allan will play in a midfield stacked with AFL talent as Finlay Macrae and Lachie Sullivan line up alongside him on Friday.
The game is the Pies' second last of 2024, with a home game against Brisbane coming up next week to close out the year.
