To help celebrate the signing of Collingwood’s 80,000th member, collingwoodfc.com.au will spend the week looking back at the 1980s.
From photo galleries to highlights packages, supporters can take a trip back to an era when flair and flamboyance were the order of the day and Victoria Park was the centre of the universe.

We'd love you to send us YOUR photos of Collingwood in the 1980s – be it at the football or of you and family and friends supporting the Magpies from elsewhere – in the 1980s to 80karmy@collingwoodfc.com.au or on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #80karmy. The best photos will be featured on collingwoodfc.com.au later this week.

In this photo gallery, we look at the most memorable haircuts, outfits and facial hair as modelled by Collingwood personnel during the 1980s.

David Cloke looks resplendent with his moustache and thick dark hair over his Mini Skips jumper. Note the tracksuit top worn by the official in the background, too.

T-Shirt Tommy Hafey models some of adidas' finest. Note the Hard Yakka tracksuit top as well!

Doug Barwick brought goal nous and a ripper mullet to Victoria Park when he left Fitzroy later in the decade.

Ricky Barham models both the moustache and the mullet with aplomb.

How does history judge the Copeland Trophy attire chosen by Paul Hawke, Gavin Brown and Gavin Crosisca in 1989?

John Cahill was Collingwood's first coach chosen from outside Victoria and the first coach to model the sort of hairdo that North Melbourne's Denis Pagan would later emulate.

Mick Gayfer and Darren Millane lead the way at pre-season training in December 1989.

Leigh Matthews opts for the skin-tight Spicers Paper t-shirt at Victoria Park late in the 1980s.

T-Shirt Tommy at it again during his final years at coach.

Could you imagine the players dressing like some of these men during pre-season training later this year?

Neville Shaw's mullet catches the lens of the photographer at the huddle.

Brian Taylor (aka Bristle) and his famous moustache.

The Collingwood Cheer Squad look the part at the Sherrin Stand end of Victoria Park in the mid-80s.

We finish with David Cloke, his moustache holding on strongly while his mullet flies in the mid-winter windy. Perhaps Travis could attempt some similar facial hair this week?
