COLLINGWOOD has suffered its second defeat in as many weeks, this time at the hands of the Sydney on Friday night.
After an Opening Round defeat to the GWS GIANTS, the Magpies were looking to bounce back, but they struggled to get their game going as the Swans proved too slick in the 10.9 (69) to 15.12 (102) contest.
Collingwood blazed away early, but the Swans were able to counter after quarter-time, capitalising off the Magpies' turnovers and moving the ball forward with patience and accuracy.
The Swans extended their lead out to 47 points just before three-quarter-time, but two Jamie Elliott goals gave the Pies a sniff.
But any hopes of a comeback were swiftly put to bed when the Swans kicked three goals in a row to all but close out the game.
The win is Sydney's second on the trot after making short work of Melbourne during Opening Round.
