Collingwood has confirmed its squad for Friday’s VFL practice match against Port Melbourne at Victoria Park.

Newly appointed Co-Captains Campbell Lane and Sam Glover will lead the side for the first time in a team mixed with AFL and VFL-listed talent, with Lane playing his first game of 2024 after sitting out the first practice match.

VFL veteran Tom Wilson will also play his first practice match of the season, having been named on the half-forward flank.

Reef McInnes, Harvey Harrison, Billy Frampton and John Noble all come into the squad from the last VFL practice match, having played in the AFL side’s AAMI Community Series game against Richmond two weeks ago.

Frampton and Noble have also been named as emergencies in the AFL squad for their Round One clash against Sydney at the MCG on Friday night.

New VFL recruit Sam Sofronidis will play his first game since officially joining the Club, with the defender named in the back pocket.

An extended nine-player bench will also allow more players to get minutes into their legs, with the practice match the side’s final hit out before Round One against Sandringham next Friday.

Exciting forward Jack Hutchinson is one of those players, alongside the likes of fellow VFL signings Ryan Sparkes, Cooper Macdonald, and Harrison Kennedy.

The game will kick off at Victoria Park from 4pm.
