Injury report - Goldsack to miss
Tyson Goldsack is expected to miss one to two weeks due to an ankle injury.
Scans have confirmed that Goldsack, 25, has no break in his leg, and Director of Football Geoff Walsh says that the club believes Goldsack should not be sidelined for long.
“There’s no break and from here it’s a matter of how quickly he responds. We’re confident Tyson will make a quick recovery.”
Goldsack has played in all 18 games this season, a career-high since he played in 17 consecutive games following his debut against the Western Bulldogs in round eight, 2007.
The Magpies lost Chris Tarrant to groin soreness on the eve of the match, but the injury is only “minor” according to Walsh.
“Chris is in the frame for this week. He had a little bit of tightness, a minor thing, that he will hopefully prove he is over this week.
Rebounding back flanker Simon Buckley is expected to be available for selection should he train freely during the week after missing the match against St Kilda due to a hamstring complaint.
