We caught up with Edward Allan on his first day at the club. Read on to learn some more about the 18-year-old from Perth.
What does the move to Melbourne look like?
"I'm going to be living with Billy Frampton, we're both from Freo but I didn't know him (until now). My brother lives over here and so does my aunty and uncle and cousins. I've got a partner back in WA but she'll probably move over later."
Do you have a favourite conspiracy theory?
"I'm not sure about the moon landing... I'm not sure if I believe it (the conspiracy) but I've heard a fair bit about that one."
Who is your dream dinner party guest?
"Adam Sandler."
What's your favourite music genre?
"House. Sometimes before a game I listen to something more relaxing though."
Which team did you support growing up?
"Growing up in WA, I was always Fremantle."
Who is your all-time favourite player?
"My all-time favourite is probably Stephen Hill."
What excites you the most about playing for Collingwood?
"Running out at the MCG in front of big crowds."
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
"Not really - nothing I can think of."
What do you love about where you grew up?
"I grew up in East Freo and I loved the beaches."
What's the best advice you ever received from a footy coach?
"My coach last year gave me some advice that stuck with me and it was pretty simple - work hard."
