The Collingwood Football Club wishes to congratulate Brad Scott on his appointment as senior coach of North Melbourne.

Brad will be released from all responsibilities at the club immediately. He will not be replaced as the club will rely on its existing team of assistant coaches and support staff.

Collingwood senior coach Mick Malthouse said: “Brad’s been an outstanding and valued member of our coaching team for the past three seasons, and will no doubt make the next phase of his coaching career a success. I wish him all the best.”

Brad joined Collingwood at the end of 2006 after he retired from playing at the elite level that year. He served as a development coach in 2007, then moved into an assistant coaching role, as opposition coach in 2008 and midfield coach in 2009.
