On the comeback: “It was really good to see the fight in the boys, especially in the last half. It was good to get on the end of a couple.”

Playing with anger: “We definitely had a disappointing start to the year and that’s really showing now. That anger is coming out in how we play. To get a couple of wins on the trot is really good. It’s just another stepping stone.”

Levi Greenwood's role: “It’s a really tough job doing what he’s doing. I think pretty much every bloke on the ground hates you out there.”

On playing without Pendles: “Steele stepped up as captain today, and Tay really showed his leadership as well. It was good for them, while Pendles is out, to really fill the leadership role.”

Best win in 3-4 years: “We showed a bit of spirit out there. We haven’t played a game like that in a while. That was probably the best feeling game I’ve played in in the last three or four years.”

What we're playing for: “We’ve just got to show our supporters what we’re about. We’re not going to roll over. Anything can still happen in this season. We just want to show that we are moving forward and that we are playing for Bucks.”

On Ben Reid forward:
“He’s just a natural footballer, Reidy. I’m a big believer in that it’s good to have forwards who want to kick goals and want to have the ball in their hands. Reidy is one of those blokes.”

Bucks' three-quarter time message:
“It was gutsy, very gutsy. Bucks at three-quarter time said ‘don’t worry about the scoreboard. Let’s just go out there and finish it off and see if we can chip away at it’. That’s what we did. We didn’t give up.”

His struggles with depression: “It’s something I’ve been battling for years. In the last 12 months it all came to a head and I had to put my hand up and say ‘hang on, somethings not right here’.”

Jeremy Howe on RSN

On Pendlebury's absence: “Steele took the reins yesterday as the skipper. But you’ve got to fill the void of Pendles because he’s such a great leader on and off the field. It took all of us to be able to fill the void.”

The rise of Jordan De Goey: “He’s an absolute star, Jordy. We’re starting to see glimpses of the potential he can bring. Clearly the challenge for him is to be able to bring it week in, week out.”

Aggressive ball use: “The last 15 minutes were the most impressive we looked all night and it was probably the most aggressive we were with the ball. We looked the best when we were taking the game on and running through the corridor.”

On Daniel Wells: “He’s just a fantastic bloke. When you see him on the field, his leadership is outstanding. I think he’s taken that a new level since he’s come to the club.”

Repaying the club's faith:
“It was a really disappointing start to the year. I let everyone around me down. I just put my head down and tried to play good football and repay the faith.”

Playing up forward: “When Darcy went down, we needed another target up forward. I pretty much just held forward and we just changed the game plan around to allow for only one tall forward.”

Adam Treloar on Collingwood Media

On Jordan De Goey: “When he brings that intensity and contest around the ball, he’s almost unstoppable… for him the potential is ridiculous. He reminds me a bit of Dane Swan, just with his power and how strong he is.”

Where the game was won: “Footy is a game of momentum. As soon as you get a run on, you’re very, very hard to stop. Brodie’s centre bounce work in the middle in the last quarter was awesome and all the mids worked extremely well in that last quarter. It’s just an awesome feeling.”

The impact of the crowd: “You get a little bit more of a boost and a lift being a player out there. You can sense that the crowd is behind you and they really want you to dig in deep and win the game… it’s awesome having these fans behind us.”
