Collingwood will blood new recruit Nathan Kreuger against Adelaide on Saturday at the MCG.

The forward landed at the Pies during the 2021 trade period from Geelong and has made an impact from day one at the club.

Agile and athletic, Kreuger is a strong mark and at 196cm he will be an imposing target up forward.

"We couldn't be more rapt with the way he's gone about it," head coach Craig McRae said of Kreuger's first six months at the club.

"The hunger and the want to get an opportunity - this guy is 100 percent in.

"You know what effort you're going to get from him, he will give his all."

Wingman Will Hoskin-Elliott makes his return after sitting out round one due to being under the AFL's health and safety protocols.

As reported by Craig McRae, Mason Cox will miss Saturday afternoon with a minor ankle complaint, while Trent Bianco has been omitted from the line-up.

Nathan Kreuger, Will Hoskin-Elliott
OUT: Mason Cox (ankle), Trent Bianco (omitted)
