Matthew Scharenberg will make his first appearance of 2019 against Port Melbourne on Sunday.

'Shaz' has not played since requiring a knee reconstruction after an injury against Richmond in July last year but will return to the Magpies' defence on the weekend.

Tyler Brown has recovered from the shoulder injury which has sidelined him since round two of the VFL season.

More AFL experience returns in the shape of Jack Madgen and Rupert Wills, who each contributed to the Pies' seven-match winning streak in recent weeks.

Mid-season draftee John Noble will be given another week to acclimatise to his new environment before he enters the fray.
