The AFL has revealed that tickets for rounds one and two of the 2022 NAB AFL Women's competition will go on sale from 10am AEDT on Wednesday December 15.
The 2022 NAB AFL Women's season will kick off under lights on Friday, January 7, when St Kilda hosts Richmond in the first ever NAB AFLW game to be played at SkyBus Stadium in Victoria's Bayside region.
The blockbuster opening round will also include trailblazing AFLW clubs the Western Bulldogs hosting Melbourne at VU Whitten Oval on the Saturday night of round one, before arch-rivals Carlton hosts Collingwood at Ikon Park on Sunday, January 9.
Other games in the opening round sees the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos host Geelong at Arden Street Oval, Fremantle host Adelaide at Fremantle Oval, Gold Coast and the GWS Giants meeting at Great Barrier Reef Arena and the West Coast Eagles hosting the reigning premier, Brisbane, at Mineral Resources Park.
AFL Women's Football manager Nicole Livingstone said the League was looking forward to welcoming fans back in the 2022 NAB AFL Women's competition.
"We're less than a month away from the opening ball up of the NAB AFLW Competition and like many in the Australian community, we cannot wait for footy to return and for AFLW to welcome fans back in 2022," Livingstone said.
"The NAB AFLW season starts on January 7 – right in the middle of summer holidays – and we look forward to being a part of everyone's holiday plans.
