Gather Round

Collingwood Coach Craig McRae has made three changes to his team for Friday night’s Gather Round clash with Sydney.

2023 premiership player Will Hoskin-Elliott will return to the AFL side after overcoming a knock he sustained to his back in the Opening Round fixture. The utility has played the last two matches at VFL level, collecting 12 disposals and a goal from limited game time in Sunday's win over Coburg.

Midfielder Ed Allan also returns for his second match of 2025 after playing in the first match of the year against GWS. The 20-year-old has impressed in recent weeks, highlighted by his 31 disposal and one goal game against Sydney in Round 1 of the VFL.

Midfielder Lachie Sullivan will play his second match of the season following his 26 disposals and seven clearances in the VFL on Sunday against Coburg. In the 27-year-old's only match at AFL level this season, Sullivan collected 12 disposals and kicked a goal in the Pies’ 91-point victory over Port Adelaide.

The three omissions to the team that defeated Carlton are Dan Houston (suspension), Jordan De Goey (ankle/achilles) and Lachie Schultz (hamstring).

19-year-old key forward Charlie West has been included in the squad for the first time in his career, joined by Oleg Markov and Mason Cox as emergencies.

Collingwood ruck Darcy Cameron will notch his 100th AFL match against his former team, who he played one match for.

Selected for his 408th match, Collingwood midfielder Scott Pendlebury will move into third all-time for games played in VFL/AFL history, overtaking former Hawthorn and Port Adelaide player Shaun Burgoyne’s 407. It will also be the 37-year-old's 400th game in the number 10 guernsey after he played his first season in the number 16.

Collingwood fans can watch the game live on Channel Seven, Fox Footy and kayosports.com.au, with the first bounce at 7:10pm (ACST).
