Mason Cox
The big forward missed the round seven victory over Port Adelaide after failing to recover from the ankle injury he suffered late in the Anzac Day win over Essendon. Will be given the chance to prove himself on the training track this week as he eyes a return to face Carlton at the MCG on Saturday.
James Aish
Has missed the past two games after being concussed in the round five win over the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba. Like Cox, he will get the chance to prove himself on the track this week.
Travis Varcoe
Was omitted from the AFL team for the clash with the Power, then didn't play at any level over the weekend due to the VFL Pies having a bye.
Isaac Quaynor
Like Varcoe, was named among the emergencies for the AFL game against Port Adelaide. Was among a group of players who completed a solid running session to make up for the lack of a VFL match.
Rupert Wills
Has been in blistering form in the VFL but was restricted to running over the weekend due to the VFL Pies having a bye. Will be in strong contention to replace injured midfielder Taylor Adams (groin) in the team for Saturday's big game against Carlton at the MCG.
Max Lynch
Another player who has been in great form in the VFL, Lynch was among the emergencies for the AFL game against Port Adelaide.
