A number of major injuries have struck the Collingwood group, paving the way for the impressive young crop of players ready for their opportunity.
The Pies will have a minimum of four changes for Anzac Day with Jordan De Goey, Jeremy Howe, Levi Greenwood ruled out through injury and Mark Keane receiving a one-match suspension.
See who a chance to be elevated to the senior squad in round 6.
Will Kelly
A successful move to defence in the VFL on Saturday puts Kelly in a strong position with Jeremy Howe going down with a hamstring. Kelly could also move back to the forward line, dependent on where he coaches want Darcy Moore lining up.
Nathan Murphy
Was a 50/50 chance to play AFL before going down with concussion in the VFL practice match against Richmond. A strong performance in the VFL against Werribee has him right contention to play against Essendon.
Oliver Henry
Lively around the goals against Werribee, as per usual. Two goals. Improving each week.
Jay Rantall
Dominant in the midfield on Saturday. 28 disposals and 6 tackles. A debut could be on the horizon.
Max Lynch
Impressive showing in the VFL. Ruck/forward combination that clearly won the ruck battle alongside Mason Cox against Werribee.
Mason Cox
Left out of the West Coast game, went back to VFL kicking two majors and had an influential role in the second half.
Caleb Poulter
Plenty to like about this guy. Poulter's run and carry off the wing and through the midfield was eye-catching on Saturday.
