Collingwood welcomed father-son prospect Nick Daicos and Next Generation Academy player Youseph Dib to the Holden Centre on Wednesday.
It was a lighter 'Captain's Run' on the cards for the AFL squad, but at the conclusion of the one hour session, captain Scott Pendlebury and vice-captain Taylor Adams took the pair under their wings.
Daicos is eager for his own season to begin and can see the benefits of having two leaders of the club spend time with them to develop their craft.
"It was really good to get into the club with 'Youi' early in the year and train alongside the AFL squad before our NAB League season kicks off," Daicos said.
"Pendles and Tay took us both aside and gave us a few pointers that will be valuable this season."
