Collingwood has farewelled assistant coach Matthew Boyd.

The former Western Bulldog captain and premiership player spent three seasons with Collingwood in player development and, in 2020, as an assistant with responsibility for defence.

Boyd has accepted a position with the Fremantle Dockers where another former Collingwood assistant, Justin Longmuir, is senior coach.

Collingwood GM of Football, Geoff Walsh said: “We wish Matthew and his family well for this next step in his career and thank him for his service.”
