Jump on Cox before lockout
Collingwood's Shannon Cox has produced strong numbers in AFL Dream Team and needs to be in your team
Did you listen to DT Magpie?
In last week’s ‘DT Magpie’ review he nominated Alan Didak and Dane Swan as two legitimate captain selections. The two guns didn’t disappoint with Didak racking up a monstrous 131 and Swan fairing only slightly lower with 130 DT points.
It was a very good week for Magpie scores with Josh Fraser earning 128 DT points, Tarkyn Lockyer hit 110 and Ben Johnson scored an even ton.
Debutant Dayne Beams didn’t disappoint the 38,612 coaches who have selected him. The late call up opened his dream team account with a mammoth 94 points. Yes, it was against the Demons but every Collingwood supporter knows this kid is the real deal.
It is a big week for trades with prices adjusting after the completion of round three. This means that any player, who has played in the first three rounds, will either go up in price or down in price depending on their prior scores.
Break Evens (score the player needs to reach in order to not lose value)
Tarkyn Lockyer (BAC, CTR $360,800 BE: 63): After scores of 94 and 100, Lockyer’s price should increase this week with a low breakeven of 63. If you were looking at picking up the consistent veteran, now is the time.
Josh Fraser (RUC $336,400 BE: 34): With only 13,829 coaches selecting the big man, his break even score of 34 makes him an attractive buy this week.
Shannon Cox (BAC, FWD $260,000 BE: 31): Didn’t have a great DT game last week (66 DT points) but is capable of racking up big numbers (95 DT points in round one). Defenders are never as consistent as midfielders so why not take a small risk and slot him in your team.
