Collingwood defender Isaac Quaynor has been nominated for the NAB AFL Rising Star Award after a strong performance in round 17.
Quaynor gathered 17 disposals against Gold Coast and racked up 372 metres gained in the finals-clinching win.
The 20-year-old has become a regular in Collingwood's line up, missing only three games with a leg injury since coming into the side in round six this year.
Aside from the Sydney game where his leg was cut open, Quaynor has recorded more than 10 disposals in every other game he has played this year.
Competition was strong for this round's nomination with Adelaide's Lachie Sholl and Melbourne's Trent Rivers also turning in fine performances, but Quaynor's consistency may have helped given him the nod.
Quaynor is the first Collingwood player to be nominated since Jaidyn Stephenson in 2018, who went on to win the award.
After being drafted with pick No. 13 in the 2018 NAB AFL Draft, Quaynor played four games in his first season leaving him eligible to be nominated for the award again this year.
Ten of the top 15 selections from the 2018 draft crop have now been recognised with a NAB AFL Rising Star nomination.
