Collingwood suffered its first loss in 10 weeks when it went down to Carlton by 23 points on Friday night.

The Magpies were within a few points midway through the third quarter but were outgunned by a Carlton side led by Eddie Betts (four goals) and surprise packet Nick Duigan (three goals).
