In the lead up to Collingwood's pre-season cup clash with the Kangaroos at Carrara on Friday night, Nick Maxwell says young Magpies have the chance during the pre-season to make it hard for some veterans to get back into the side.Speaking to the media at Carrara on Thursday, Maxwell, who is entering his first season as a member of the club's leadership group, believes the club can only benefit from youngsters taking their chance and putting pressure on senior players to win back their spots in the best 22."I think there's a great opportunity for a lot of young blokes. We've got about nine blokes who haven't played AFL yet", Maxwell said."The fact is we have got a lot of older blokes who aren't playing, but they still have to get their spot back, and if some of the younger blokes can steal that spot, then it's going to be better for us."Collingwood will take a relatively inexperienced side into the match against the Kangaroos, with names like Didak, Buckley, Clement, O'Bree, Licuria, Rocca, Lockyer, Fraser, Prestigiacomo and Swan missing from the team sheet. But what that's done is it has given the youth of the club the chance to impress, while Maxwell emphasised that despite the big names missing, the club is "definitely out to win" in week one of the pre-season cup.The Collingwood squad for the match is:1. Leon Davis, 2. Sean Rusling, 3. Ryan Lonie, 7. Paul Medhurst, 10. Scott Pendlebury, 13. Dale Thomas, 14. Shane Wakelin, 15. Chris Egan, 16. Nathan Brown, 17. Scott Burns, 19. Ben Davies, 20.
