The fastest man at Collingwood joins the studio on tonight’s episode of The Club.

Caolan Mooney, the 19-year-old from Ireland, stops by to explain his whirlwind journey from playing Gaelic football for County Down to stepping out on the MCG in front of more than 80,000 fans for the Collingwood Football Club.

Mooney has earned the nickname ‘Road Runner’ as a tribute to his explosive pace, and he explains what has helped him make the transition from a novice to a senior player in under a year.

With Eddie McGuire on Olympic duties over in England, actor and comedian Stephen Curry takes control as acting President for the match against Hawthorn. Curry takes over the match day responsibilities from making the speech at the President’s Lunch to firing up the players before the game.

We also speak to Bernie Murphy, the Deputy Chairman of the Collingwood Archives Committee, who has recently had his life turned upside down when diagnosed with leukaemia. Watch as premiership duo Alan Toovey and Tyson Goldsack make an emotional visit to Murphy’s hospital bed.

The Club also gives midfielder Dane Swan control of the microphone as he hosts the filming of a television commercial at Victoria Park alongside Heath Shaw, Steele Sidebottom and Harry O’Brien.
