Collingwood ran through a brisk training session in cold and wet Melbourne conditions at Gosch's Paddock ahead of its traditional ANZAC Day clash with Essendon tomorrow afternoon.

Several Magpies opted to wear beanies to cope with the conditions but it didn't deter them from completing a brisk training session only three days after defeating Port Adelaide by 24 points at Etihad Stadium.

Coach Nathan Buckley later told the media that full back Nathan Brown, who has not played since the 2010 Grand Final replay, will take his place in the line up.

Big crowds aren't a new concept for Scott Pendlebury, Ben Johnson and Dane Swan who have played 22 ANZAC Day games between them.
