Collingwood remains hopeful of Chris Dawes (knee) and Alan Didak (calf) being available for Friday night's Preliminary Final.

Collingwood Director of Football, Geoff Walsh, said yesterday that neither player required scans for the injuries they received in Saturday night's First Semi-Final victory over West Coast at the MCG.

"The doctors looked at them this morning and will assess them again tomorrow morning but at this stage there is confidence that both will come up," Walsh said.

"There were no scans taken this morning and importantly both Chris and Alan are optimistic. It remains to be seen how the week unfolds for them but right now we think they are a good chance to be on the plane."
