Nathan Buckley and Michael Voss were split in their opinion of the best player in Collingwood’s 58-point win over Brisbane on Saturday night.

Dane Swan and Steele Sidebottom received nine votes each in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year voting.

Swan compiled 34 disposals, 13 marks and two goals while Sidebottom enjoyed a best on ground performance with 35 disposals and two goals.

Heath Shaw’s
performance (five votes) with Buckley and Voss both allocating votes to the running defender.

Dayne Beams (30 disposals) received three votes from one head coach and Harry O’Brien’s (28 disposals) work down back received two votes.

Polling votes for the first time this year, Alan Didak (25 disposals, one goal) and Sharrod Wellingham (23 disposals, one goal) rounded out the leaderboard.

Swan’s nine-vote game elevated him into the top-10 overall leaderboard, 12 votes shy of Essendon’s Brent Stanton.
