The first week of the 2012 AFL finals series has been announced, with Collingwood to take on Hawthorn at the MCG on Friday 7 September at 7:50pm in the First Qualifying Final.
In finishing fourth, the Magpies have secured the double chance, meaning they are guaranteed a minimum of two finals.
Collingwood did not defeat the Hawks in either of their two meetings this season, going down by 22 points in round one and by 47 points in round 17, but ended Hawthorn's season last year with a three-point win in the Preliminary Final.
