Maxwell and Shaw face charges
Collingwood's Nick Maxwell and Heath Shaw face suspension after both players were charged by the match review panel after the loss to Geelong
Nick Maxwell has been charged with a level two engaging in rough conduct offence against Steve Johnson, Geelong Cats, during the second quarter on Thursday night.
In summary, his previous poor record and his existing carry-over points from within the last 12 months means that his two-match sanction cannot be reduced, even with an early plea.
Heath Shaw has been charged with intentionally making contact with an umpire (Michael Vozzo) during the second quarter.
The matter has been directly referred to the tribunal for its determination and the player cannot accept an early plea offer.
